Mike Lyon is a retired rocket scientist (really!) who now spends his time creating tatting designs. He has been tatting since 2015 and is the creator of familiar designs such as “Lagniappe”, “Circulus Vitae”, “Caroline’s Garden”, “Tatting Tiles”, “Adagio for Strings”, and most recently “Vortices” as well as numerous smaller pieces, including his popular “Fleur de Lis” and “Sir George Twigbottom Underbridge”. Many of these pieces have their own Facebook group with enthusiasts. He is also the creator of “Mike’s Laws of Tatting” – a compendium of lessons learned during his journey.
